Host Homes

Independent Living Plus Program

Supporting The Journey To Adulthood

Escape Independent Living Plus (ILP) program exists as a resource for youth ages 16-21 to live independently in host homes in the Holland and Zeeland area. Youth consistently attend school and/or work, as well as work on their adult life skills at Escape as part of a community of belonging, transformation, and delight.

Interested?

Escape Independent Living Plus (ILP) supports youth in the Holland and Zeeland community ages 16-21 and youth who are in the care of MDHHS. They must have demonstrated the ability to care for themselves with additional support, and a desire to engage in life skills programming which includes individual coaching.

To refer a youth to the program, fill out the forms below, or email homes@escape-out.org for pdf formats.

If you are a teen interested in ILP, you can ask your case worker (or parent/caretaker for community youth) to refer you, then fill out the youth application yourself.

Become A Host Home!

Host Homes can be a transformational step for youth moving towards independence. Host homes in our program get to host – not parent – youth for a pre-determined time period, with a formal living agreement and support from Escape. See the flyer below for details.

If you’re interested, fill out the interest form below, and we’ll reach out to you to talk more about it.
